Endless Dungeon is delayed to October 19
The extra time will allow the studio to incorporate more community feedback, applying balance improvements, meta progression, tutorials, and general refinements.
SEGA Europe Limited and Amplitude Studios SAS announce that Endless Dungeon will be delayed on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on October 19th. Early access will be available on October 17th for players who pre-order Endless Dungeon “Last Wish” Digital Edition on PC and consoles. The release date for Nintendo Switch will be announced later. Players who pre-ordered from digital stores can be refunded according to each platform's policy. The information was provided by Theogames, a press office specializing in games.
Originally planned for release on May 18th, this additional time will allow Amplitude to incorporate better the community feedback essential in such an innovative game and continue to follow in the footsteps of previous titles in the award-winning Endless Universe. Based on player feedback, Amplitude will work on improvements such as balance, meta-progression, tutorials, and general refinements to create the ultimate roguelite experience for players.
Romain de Waubert, general manager and CCO of Amplitude Studios, says:
"We are very grateful and honoured that players are looking forward to playing Endless Dungeon. The feedback we have received so far from our OpenDev sessions has proven that we are producing something very special, and we want to ensure that we'll have time to make the game reach its full potential. Players have always been at the heart of our studio's philosophy, and releasing Endless Dungeon in October will give us extra time to continue working with the community and refining the game to provide an Incredible launch day experience. We can't wait for universe fans and newcomers to experience Endless Dungeon's unique gameplay, combining elements of roguelite, tactical action, and tower defence."
According to Theogames, since the announcement of Endless Dungeon, players have been part of the development process through Amplitude's game co-development platform, Games2Gether. Members joined OpenDev sessions to experience the game at different stages of development, provided their thoughts on specific features, and talked about everything from core gameplay elements to meta-progression. "Amplitude will continue to process and implement feedback to ensure Endless Dungeon players have the best experience at launch." informed release sent by Theogames.
Also, according to the press release, to thank the community for their patience while the game crosses the finish line, Amplitude will include free extra content for those who pre-ordered the game on PC and for those who will be among the first to buy at launch on consoles.
